Iseman Homes
currently operates 8 retail facilities in 7 mid-west states.

A good example
of American initiative and enterprise is the growth of Iseman
Homes. Iseman began in 1920 as Sioux
Tire and Battery Co. in Sioux Falls, SD. Charles Iseman
and his two partners erected the brick building themselves.
By 1936, the mobile
home had appeared on the American scene. The first models were
no more than present day travel trailers, but Mr. Iseman recognized
their possibilities and became one of the earliest dealers.
By 1938, he has established the first branch office in Rapid
City, SD.
Iseman's biggest
expansion came just after World War II. In 1947, the company
had become so involved with selling mobile homes, they went
out of the tire and battery business altogether. In the following
years, branches were established throughout eight Midwestern
states and Iseman became on of the
largest mobile home dealerships in the country.
A new building
was constructed in 1952, which housed the offices and shop area.
But within 10 years, the company outgrew their limited display
space. In 1961, they moved to their present location on several
acres in northern Sioux Falls.
Iseman
management has over 200 years of combined manufactured housing
experience to provide personal service to the needs of
today's
customer.
